Pat Munro Foundation Charity Golf Day 2024

A resounding Swing of Support for local community projects.
The Pat Munro Foundation recently held its annual Charity Golf Day raising £7,000 which will be match-funded by Pat Munro (Alness) Ltd, bringing the total to an amazing £14,000 and significantly boosting the Foundation’s ability to support various community projects and charities.
The event was held at Invergordon Golf Club, renowned for its scenic views and challenging course and as in previous years the club proved to be the most amazing hosts. Over sixty golfers in 17 teams teed off in the morning sunshine, taking on the 18-hole course with a mix of friendly competition and light-hearted rivalry, all in a good cause.
This year’s worthy winners of the handicap trophy were Sangster Electrical who celebrated alongside Scratch prize winners team “Misfits”. Stuart Thomson from team “The Four Amigos” picked up the prize for the Longest Drive and Mike Moran from team JMSL secured Closest to the Pin. Later in the day, everyone held their breath when at the 15th hole, Suzanne McClenaghan, came within a whisker of a “hole-in-one” with the ball stopping just inches short.
The success of the event is made possible by the incredible generosity of local businesses who all come together driven by a shared commitment to raise as much money as possible for their local communities. Main sponsors this year were Ashley Ann, Inverness and Nynas with PSG Marine and Logistic, sponsoring the hole-in-one competition and Morris Leslie, sponsoring both the Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin contests. Alongside them over 40 local companies also donated to the raffle and auction prizes.
Hamish Little, event organiser from Pat Munro Homes said:
“Each year our Charity Golf Day just gets better, creating fond memories and demonstrating the power of community spirit. I’d like to thank everyone who took part and made the day so special including our main sponsors, all our hole sponsors, everyone who donated prizes to our raffle and auction and all our volunteers and friends who support the event every year.”
Run by staff from Pat Munro (Alness) Ltd, The Pat Munro Foundation and members of “Team Pat Munro” organise and take part in a number of events throughout the year to raise funds for local community groups, charities and social enterprises across their operational areas.
