HGV Driver - Hook Loader

Location Speybay, Fochabers or Gedloch, Elgin
Working Hours Mon-Fri (7am to 5pm) depending on workloads, with a guaranteed 40 hours minimum
Duration Permanent
Remuneration

Depending on experience

Mon-Fri: Time and a Half after 40 hours
Saturday: Time and a Half
Sunday: Double Time

(Weekend work is optional)

Holidays 6 weeks
Probationary Period 3 months from commencement

Principal Job Responsibilities

As a Heavy Goods Driver - primarily driving Hook Loader lorries - your duties will include:

  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks
  • Effectively carry out material delivery activities, and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Completion of all necessary paperwork daily & weekly
  • Report any vehicle defects
  • Adhering to all health & safety requirements

You will also be expected to ensure that all operations are carried out in line with UK and EU laws and regulations.  These govern vehicle safety, driver hours, and customer’s requirements.

Applicant Qualities

The successful applicant will ideally have the following skills, qualities & experience: -

  • C Licence as a minimum
  • Driver Qualification Card
  • Digital Tacograph Card
  • Hook Loader experience would be preferable, but training will be given
  • Flexible approach to work as driving different types of vehicle will be expected
