Position
This is a permanent, full-time position working within our Construction Department. The position is based at our main offices at Caplich, Alness and will report to the General Foreman, Site Foreman, or Works Manager.
Principal Job Responsibilities
As a Construction General Operative, you will be required to undertake the following: -
- Carry out construction tasks in line with the requirements of the works programme.
- Operate plant and tools in line with manufacturer’s instructions.
- Use skills and knowledge to carry out tasks assigned to the best of your ability.
- Maintain such records and documentation as is required to ensure company policies and practises are administered and maintained.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s environmental procedures to ensure achievement of company objectives and legislative compliance
- Communication of any site hazards and general information to Manager/Supervisor.
- Assist Manager and Supervisor with the setup and organisation of the site.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the site.
- Follow best practice guidelines.

Applicant
The successful applicant will ideally have the following skills, qualities & experience:
- Full clean UK driving licence is essential.
- Good level of physical fitness.
- Ability to understand instructions and carry them out.
- General understanding of health and safety.
- Hold a current CSCS card.
- EUSR National Water Hygiene card advantageous.
- Roller and Dumper qualifications advantageous.
- Experience of water mains installation would be advantageous
